Heavy Rains In Lucknow, Uttarakhand Likely

The monsoon is going to hit Lucknow hard today. Besides the region surrounding the capital of Uttar Pradesh (Allahabad, Kanpur) it is going to rain heavily in parts of Uttarakhand in the next 36 hours.

Between July 7-9 the rains will take a mini break with no significant monsoon activity likely in that period. 

On July 10 it will be back to normal in Uttar Pradesh, especially in the eastern parts. Remarkably Varanasi and eastern UP is receiving phenomenal amounts of rain in the last few days.

By July 12 the rains will stretch to Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu, Kashmir. 

By July 14 the monsoon will turn its attention to central India. Eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh. A cyclonic circulation is going to form there which may move onto Gujarat by July 15.

The GFS model is persistently predicting two low pressure system in the coming days.
Number 1: Forms off the Saurashtra coast on July 14.
Number 2: Forms over Bangladesh on July 15-16. Moves to Madhya Pradesh by July 20-21.
