There is bad news for people of Gujarat. A powerful cyclone ("Keila")is likely to hit the Saurashtra coast by Monday, June 7, 2011.
- The tropical storm is likely to form near the Karnataka coast by Saturday, June 5, 2011
- It is expected to intensify and rapidly move northwards and go near the Saurashtra coast near Veraval-Porbandar by Monday, June 7, 2011
- It is likely to grow even stronger and them move along the Saurashtra coast (without touching it) and then start moving towards the coast of Oman
- This is the latest prediction of the path of the cyclone. But cyclones are by nature very unpredictable and there is a strong possibility that it may hit Gujarat
- The people and government of Gujarat will probably starting gearing up to face the storm after the IMD declares that the storm has formed on Friday or Saturday.
- The tropical storm is certain. It has been verified by many international forecasting agencies. Only one cannot be sure if it will hit Gujarat or move to Pakistan or Oman.
