Earlier indications that the monsoons would come in hard in Kerala and Karnataka coast around June 5, 2012 have disappeared. Instead we have chances of tepid light rains in Kerala for the next one week. Some heavy showers in Goa (and the Konkan coast) around the 10th of June may be is all we will get.
Latest forecasts the monsoons will unleash its heavy artillery only on June 14, 2012. After that its a real bloodbath, sorry, deluge in Kerala and Karnataka. The heavy falls will not reach Mumbai even till the 18th of June, 2012..
The IMD may say that the monsoon is only five days late but it seems the rain train has been delayed by about twelve days.
