Cyclones are very unpredictable. Forecast models tell a different story within hours. Take the case of the expected tropical storm Keila which is expected to rise in the Arabian Sea by Monday night (IST). Yesterday we said the storm would move through coastal areas of Saurashtra in western India. Latest predictions say that Keila will avoid the Indian coast and head straight towards Oman.
- The tropical storm Keila is expected to be born off the Karnataka-Goa coast by Monday (June 6, 2011) evening (Indian Standard Time).
- It is going to move in a straight line towards Oman. It will spare the Saurashtra (India) coast altogether.
- It will hit Oman on Friday (June 10, 2011) afternoon (IST)
